Describing the farmers' suicides as State government’s killings, former MP and AICC spokesperson Madhu Yashki Goud has demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao order an open inquiry into the illegal sand mining and gutka business in Nizamabad district.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday, along with former MLAs Eravatri Anil and Bikshmaiah Goud, Madhu Yashki Goud said AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi conceded Telangana State with surplus budget on seeing suicides of the youth, but the Chief Minister has turned the State into a burial State.
He lamented neither the Chief Minister nor Ministers K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao consoled the families of deceased farmers in Medak district.
Alleging that 67 farmers had committed suicides in Medak district alone, Yashki slammed the TRS government for dubbing Limbaiah, who committed suicide in Hyderabad city, as a money lender and whether KCR, who had 105 acres, was a diamond businessman.
Alleging that KCR was following the footsteps of his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu in visiting foreign countries, Yashki said the Chief Minister failed to fulfill his own assurances.
He also alleged that TRS leaders were indulging in illegal sand transport in Nizamabad where the drought was severe.
He also alleged that Minister, MLAs, MP, MROs and police were indulging in illegal sand transport.
