The primary reason for Chandrababu Naidu's defeat in the 2004 elections was his sole focus on 'Brand Hyderabad' at the expense of the rest of the State.
While the people of Hyderabad and the ‘IT’ crowd definitely prospered, the rest of the State led by the farmers handed a crushing defeat to Naidu in the polls.
By developing Hyderabad alone, Naidu sort of put all his eggs in one basket, a basket that has been stolen now by KCR.
One would have hoped that Naidu would have realized his mistake and adopt a different strategy this time around. But Naidu is repeating the mistake.
By focusing completely on the new capital region, he is putting paid to the aspirations of the people from the other regions. And once again, it is the farming community that has to bear the brunt of Naidu’s agenda.
For god’s sake, at least now, Mr. Naidu, please give equal priority to the regions of the entire State instead of just your capital region.
You are the Chief Minister of not just your community but the entire State of Andhra Pradesh.
