AICC Secretary In-charge of the State party affairs Digvijay Singh on Thursday announced that show-cause notice had been issued to senior Congress leader and MLA J C Diwakar Reddy for raising a tirade against the AICC president Sonia Gandhi.
He told media that action would be taken against Diwakar Reddy after receiving explanation from him. When pointed out that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy too had defied the party, Digvijay said Kiran Reddy had never talked against Sonia Gandhi. It has not come to his notice that any other Congress leader had talked against the AICC president, he added.
Diwakar Reddy, however, made it clear that he had not yet received any show cause notice from the party. And there was no need for him to reply to showcase notice even after it reached him, he said.
He reminded that three generations of his family had relations with the Congress.
“It was bothering him to leave the Congress, having long period of attachment with it. I don’t want to leave the Congress, but if they don’t need my services, what can I do?” he asked.
