Hitherto, it was former minister and Secunderabad Cantonment MLA P Shankar Rao, who has been describing AICC president Sonia Gandhi as a goddess and has gone even to the extent of announcing construction of a temple for her. He even demanded naming of Telangana State as “Sonia Telangana” state.
Now, it is the turn of former minister and senior Congress leader JC Diwakar Reddy to describe Sonia as a “devatha” (goddess) and express his deep sense of gratitude for bestowing Rayala Telangana on the people. He said he would wholeheartedly welcome the reported move of Group of Ministers (GoM) to form Rayala Telangana.
Diwakar Reddy said that the Anantapur and Kurnool districts would benefit if they were made part of Telangana State.
He praised the GoM for considering the proposal and informed that he would visit New Delhi on Wednesday to thank Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the same.
He said that the people of Anantapur and Kurnool wants to be a part of Telangana and both the districts would get justice.
