At a time when the educational institutions, especially the universities, are facing shortage of staff and funds, Telangna Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is surrounded by a team of advisors who have no work to do, except singing his tune.
This was pointed out by Telangana PCC vice-president Mohd Ali Shabbir on Saturday. He alleged that KCR was wasting money by appointing Advisors. So far, at least 10 retired officials have been appointed as Advisors to Government. Similarly, six Parliamentary Secretaries have been nominated by the government. All of them have been given cabinet rank, but none of them have been told about their duties.
Describing them as "KCR Bhajan Mandali", Shabbir alleged that several crores are being wasted only on Advisors, Parliamentary Secretaries and other Advisory Committees.
He asked KCR to do a serious introspection of his decision and take immediate measures to help the poor and needy.
He said KCR's ministers, legislators and even their family members are emulating KCR. The ministers and even Nizamabad MP K Kavitha are moving in large convoys during their tour to their constituencies.
