This is the title of a movie starring Arvind Krishna and Meenakshi Dixit. The movie, directed by Vishwanath Reddy Akki is releasing on the 28th of this month. What the title literally means is ‘the moonlight in the forest’.
The moonlight in the forest is such a beautiful sight to behold, but then the irony is that there is nobody in the forest to enjoy such a beautiful sight! This title in fact seems to be an apt illustration of KCR’s state of Telangana.
All of KCR’s promises during his campaign of hatred against Seemandhra people such as free power to farmers, loan waivers, free education from KG to PG, making a Dalit the first CM of Telangana etc etc, gave rise to the hope among the Telangana people that by getting divided they would truly become owners of a super developed state under KCR.
Barely a week into his administration now, people are beginning to realize that they have been taken for a ride. Farmers who supposedly died for the cause of Telangana are now committing suicide in a state run by their ‘own people’.
All of KCR’s close confidants who were his strength during the T-agitation have started to desert him now, after being backstabbed by him. In short, the people of Telangana are realizing that all of the dreams circulated by KCR so far were nothing but an ‘Adavi Kaachina Vennela’.
