The Rs. 100 crore given by the Adani Group for Skill University in Telangana was returned by Revanth Reddy, after the corruption allegations were cited against Adani by an American authority. Many believe this decision was made under pressure from Rahul Gandhi.
However, whether it was Rahul Gandhi or Revanth Reddy, both are Indians. When a foreign entity accuses a fellow Indian citizen, should their actions be guided by these allegations without seeking evidence or proof to substantiate the claims?
On the other hand, the Indian government has officially stated that there is no wrongdoing on Adani’s part and dismissed the foreign authority’s allegations.
If our own government has taken this stand, who are people like Rahul Gandhi to align with foreign narratives? Such actions are contrary to the spirit of patriotism and national integrity.
For comparison, the Megha Group also donated Rs. 200 crore toward Skill Development in Telangana. This company was implicated in a scam in Maharashtra—a fact pointed out by Indian authorities. Yet, Revanth Reddy did not return the money donated by Megha Group. Why the double standards?
These kinds of inconsistent and reactionary decisions are damaging the image of the Congress party. The party is failing to inspire patriotism and trust among the people.
If Rahul Gandhi aspires to lead the nation, he must first demonstrate faith in India’s governance systems. Instead of repeatedly targeting Ambanis and Adanis, he should focus on addressing public issues that challenge the BJP.
By failing to do so, he is wasting valuable time on unproductive pursuits that harm the Congress party’s credibility and prospects for revival.
