Many rebel candidates are looking to contest for the Rajya Sabha this time. Minister Erasu Pratapareddy is also preparing the ground to contest for the Rajya Sabha.
In the wake of Samaikyandhra agitation, JC Diwaker Reddy, Chaitanya Raju, Undavalli Arun Kumar have already announced that they will be contesting for the RS. Meanwhile, minister Erasu has procured the nomination papers.
Another new entrant is senior MLA from Nellore Adala Prabhakar Reddy.
Adala has been claiming that he will file his nomination as the original Samaikyandhra candidate. He has also gathered the signatures of 10 MLAs as a part of his efforts.
One thing has become clear though. There is no coordination amongst the Samaikyandhra MLAs.
Till recently, it was said that Adala would join the TDP and contest either for the Lok Sabha or for the Assembly. By getting into the RS fray, he has given a new twist to the ongoing events.
