Although he may be the head of the YSRCP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is probably the youngest man on the team.
For someone so relatively inexperienced, he has done a fine job of leading the YSRCP in the Assembly and highlighting the TDP’s shortcomings.
Considered to be a front –runner for the CM’s post, he was beaten when the Kapu community enamored of Pawan Kalyan voted en masse for the TDP. But it is now that YS Jagan is facing a serious test of his leadership abilities.
The TDP is implementing KCR's strategy and luring Jagan’s MLA’s to its fold. Six of them have already crossed over. This is an acid test for Jagan as further defections are not ruled out.
The manner in which he is able to keep his flock together will go a long way towards cementing the trust of his followers in him.
One huge advantage that Jagan has is his charisma among the masses. Therefore, this factor will work in favor of his party irrespective of the contestant. But that is a strategy assuming that he is unable to keep his men from deserting him.
