The latest decision of the TDP government has shocked the entire state of Andhra Pradesh and all opposition Parties have unanimously condemned the State.
Chandrababu Naidu it appears is up to something fishy regarding his whole scheme with the new capital region and that suspicion has been further reinforced by GO No 110 passed by the government.
This GO enables the State government to give land in the new capital city on lease to private parties for 99 years. And that is not all! The private parties can also mortgage these lands and raise loans.
Where is the end to all this injustice being perpetrated on the people of Andhra Pradesh and their farmers, in the name of development?
Grabbing fertile lands from farmers and then giving it away to real estate developers, contractors and other businessmen for 99 years with the permission to mortgage those lands? Oh far better off were the people of AP and these farmers under the British rule.
The Congress might not come back to power in Andhra Pradesh in the next two decades for having divided the State against the wishes of its people for political gains, but if Naidu does not withdraw this GO immediately, then neither the TDP nor his community will come to power in AP again for the next 100 years.
