As per official sources, nearly 5000 changes have been suggested by MLAs belonging to various parties within the stipulated time frame suggested for the Telangana Bill.
The Speaker had set a deadline for January 10 and since the suggestions have come in such large numbers, it has become a cause of major concern for the officials dealing with it.
The process of sorting them is already underway. However, the officials say that these will be considered as mere opinions, as the power to make any amendments/ changes to the Bill are with the Parliament.
Though it is not yet clear as to what extent these opinions will matter, but the officials are apparently breaking their heads to classify the suggestions gathered.
Some feel it could be a record in the history of our country.
