4 MPs and 26 MLAs to Bid Goodbye to Congress?

4 MPs and 26 MLAs to Bid Goodbye to Congress?

Though nothing is still clear as to what the Congress party intends to do with the Telangana bill, looks like quite a few MPs and MLAs are gearing up to leave the party for good.

Some of the Congress MLAs and MPs, mostly from the Seemandhra region are talking about it openly and it has become a point of discussion in the Lok Sabha lobbies.

As per sources, 26 MLAs are likely to bid goodbye to the party soon. A good number are likely to drift towards YSRCP, while some are headed towards TDP, and it is being said that they are already in talks with the party.

Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has announced that six Congress MLAs would leave the party along with him.

Similarly, ex minister Dharmana Prasada Rao has also made it clear that he will no longer continue with the Congress.

Another ex minister JC Diwakar Reddy has gone to the extent of demanding the Congress Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi to quit from her post. He is likely to get a show cause notice soon.

Another option is that if Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy floats his party, many rebel leaders are likely to join the party.

If that does not materialize many are contemplating joining either the YSRCP or TDP.

It is being said that the list includes four ministers. News is that three ministers from Rayalaseema and one minister from coastandhra are ready to join other parties.

From the two MPs, one is considering joining the TDP while the other is likely to join the new party.

Six MLAs from north Andhra, six from both the Godavari districts, a few more MLAs from Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Cuddapah, Kurnool and Chittoor are also preparing to leave the party at the earliest.

It will be no surprise if more MLAs and MPs leave the Congress and join other parties by the time some clarity is given about Telangana and election time.
