Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is preparing ground to axe 15 IAS, IPS officers, who worked against TRS in recent Assembly polls.
About 8 IAS officer and 7 IPS officers reportedly moved closer with Congress leaders with a belief that Congress will come to power and they will secure lucrative posts in the new government.
They regularly met 'CM candidates' and 'influential candidates' in Congress such as TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, A Revanth Reddy, Komatireddy brothers, DK Aruna, J Geetha Reddy etc and secured assurances from them they would be given top posts like Chief Secretary, DGP and lucrative positions in Chief Minister's Office, home, revenue departments etc.
These officers were confident that TRS will be defeated and they will get top posts in Congress government. They troubled TRS leaders and TRS candidates during elections and worked in favour of Congress.
With elections over and TRS back with a bang, TRS leaders and candidates submitted the list of IAS, IPS officers who resorted to 'over action' and worked for Congress.
KCR is said to be very angry at them and has decided to punish them by shunting out from existing positions, give insignificant posts or keep them waiting without any postings.
