During the recent plenary, despite the unprecedented media hype and show of strength by the ‘men in pink’, only around 20,000 cadres visited the event against the expectation of more than 40,000.
Hugely disappointed at the low turnout, KCR has reportedly warned the ministers and MLA’s from his Party that the turnout should not be less than 10 lakh for the public meeting in Hyderabad today.
All the Ministers and MLA’s were working overtime in arranging people from their constituencies to reach this target.
KCR intends this public meeting to be a showpiece of sorts ahead of the Municipal elections in Hyderabad.
But the Hyderabadis are annoyed at the traffic jams and numerous inconveniences they are being put to by the functions of the TRS.
Anyway, ferrying people from Chevella, Nalgonda and other places to Hyderabad and then expecting to win in Hyderabad is a bit strange.
