YSRCP MPs Meet LS Speaker, Renew Demand On Raghurama Disqualification

The YSR Congress MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Delhi on Thursday and renewed their demand for disqualification of Narasapuram MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju.

YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader V Vijayasai Reddy, floor leader in Lok Sabha P Midhun Reddy and whip, Margani Bharat met Om Birla and submitted a fresh representation.

It was only in June the Speakers’ office had asked Vijayasai Reddy to give representation afresh in the proper format.

The YSR Congress MPs have given the representation several times so far, but the Speaker’s office wanted the representation in proper format.

Accordingly, the MPs submitted the representation in the required format enabling the Speaker to act on it.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju had been speaking against the party leadership and its president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, in violation of the party discipline, the MPs said.

They also submitted newspaper clippings and video clippings where the MP made allegations against the party leadership and its president Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The MPs also cited the speech of Raghurama Krishnam Raju in the Lok Sabha against the decisions of the State government headed by Jagan Mohan Reddy, to justify the allegation that the MP is working against the party.

The MPs also alleged that Raghurama Krishnam Raju is also not available to the electorate in Narasapuram and had never visited the constituency in the last two years, after his election.

It is to be seen what the Speaker would do on the complaint given in the proper format!
