YSRCP leaders reluctant to come to Tadepalli!

The camp office of YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at Tadepalli in Guntur district used to be buzzing with hectic activity till a month ago, when the party was in power.

Whether they had any work or not, the party leaders, including MLAs, ministers and MPs used to throng the Tadepalli camp office. They were longing to have an appointment with Jagan at least for a minute.

Jagan’s advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and other leaders who were close to Jagan like V Vijay Sai Reddy, Y V Subba Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy were always seen in the camp office and they, too, were having regular visitors on various works.

Within a month, everything changed at Tadepalli. It now wears a deserted look.

In the first few days, some party leaders, who were closer to Jagan, like Perni Nani, Kodali Nani, Y V Subba Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy etc. were coming to the camp office to give moral support to the party president.

After a few days, Jagan, too, held a few meetings with party leaders including MLAs, MLCs and MPs, apparently to boost their morale. He would tell them that there was no need for them lose hope and that there is every chance that it can bounce back.

Later, Jagan quietly left for Puluvendula and from there to Bengaluru to take a break from political activity. As a result, the party leaders have virtually stopped coming there and the Tadepalli lost its glory.

Now, Jagan is back from Bengaluru, but except a couple of leaders, there are not many leaders who would come and meet him. Apparently, Jagan’s office made calls to a few leaders who were in their respective districts, to come and meet the boss.

“But they are learnt to have told the Jagan’s office that they were busy and they would come and meet him leisurely at a later date. Obviously they felt there is no point in wasting time in coming all the way to Tadepalli just to have a chat with Jagan,” sources said.

However, the most important reason for their reluctance to come to Tadepalli is that they do not want the presence of coterie members like Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Dhananjay Reddy, who they feel are responsible for the party’s poor show.

“Unless these two people are out, the party leaders might not show interest in coming and meeting Jagan,” sources said.
