YSRCP launches huge campaign against Sharmila

YSRCP launches huge campaign against Sharmila

Now that the family feud between YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister – Andhra Congress president Y S Sharmila coming out into the open, he is learnt to have instructed his party leaders to go all out against her.

According to party sources, Jagan has asked his party leaders to give up any soft corner towards Sharmila thinking that she is his sister.

He wanted that the party should launch a massive campaign against her through press conferences and also on social media.

“The focus should be on establishing how Sharmila has been acting as per the agenda of Telugu Desam Party led by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The message that she has fallen into the trap of Naidu to conspire against him and see that he will go back to jail should go deep into the people,” Jagan reportedly told the party leaders.

Sources said the task of spearheading the campaign against Sharmila has been entrusted to Jagan’s close aide and party general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who in turn spoke to all the party leaders right from the district party presidents to state-level leaders, asking them to attack her and expose her political intentions.

“More than anything else, the objective of Jagan is to see that the people should not get wrong impression about him for dragging his mother to court on the illegal transfer of shares in her name. His prime target is Sharmila,” sources said.

That is why, at least three to four YSRCP leaders have been addressing press conferences or speaking to television channels and issuing statements in the press, attacking Sharmila and her intentions.

Right from Perni Nani to Y V Subba Reddy, Rachamallu Shiva Prasada Reddy, Ambati Rambabu, Nagarjuna Yadav, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Pulivendula Satish Reddy several leaders have been making strong comments against Sharmila and defending Jagan’s move to approach the NCLT.

“In the process, the party leaders are cleverly dragging the TDP and its president N Chandrababu Naidu into the controversy so that it would serve the dual political purpose of the party,” sources said.
