Mithun Reddy, the YSRCP's Member of Parliament, has given an exclusive interview to GreatAndhra.com, sharing several insights into what actually happened before the elections and during the last five years of rule.
He answered the questions posed and highlighted various incidents.
First, when asked about his feelings towards the loss of YSRCP in the elections, he replied, "Winning and losing are common. Even teams lose in cricket matches, but they win subsequent matches with the same team members."
When asked about the possible reasons for defeat among issues like mines, land, sand, and liquor, Mithun Reddy replied, "My father has contested in 10 elections so far. He never took party funds for elections nor got involved in corruption when in power. We have our own businesses in India and abroad, so we don’t make our livelihood from politics. Just like how Jagan Mohan Reddy was tarnished with a ₹1 lakh crore corruption allegation with no evidence, the same applies to us, with claims that we made money from mines and lands. But they have no evidence to show. It’s just mudslinging, which is TDP's practice."
He also continued to say, "I don’t know if it is a strength or weakness, but Jagan Mohan Reddy says only what he can do. He never gives fake promises. He calculates a lot and promises only what is possible. It's good to say the truth. But saying the truth and making realistic promises before elections can be damaging. Chandrababu said all lies, stating that he would give welfare schemes for every child in every home. But now, without any embarrassment, he declares that he cannot fulfill those promises."
"As a diversion tactic, TDP is alleging that files are burnt. But these are not the olden days. Every file will be online. Every file that is in the RDO office will also be in the MRO office. Copies of those files will also be in the Joint Collector’s Office and the Collector’s Office. We are asking which files are burnt so that they can get a copy of them from any of the offices above. Nobody can escape by burning hard copies of any file these days. Soft copies will be everywhere in the government system," Mithun Reddy explained.
In his interview, Mithun Reddy also explained how the liquor policy affected the party and contributed to its defeat. He admitted several things and exposed the fallacies of TDP on many other issues as well.
This is a detailed and comprehensive interview that reveals known facts.
