There are some coverts in Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena Party, who are trying to play spoilsport with the proposed alliance between the two parties, so that it would benefit the ruling YSR Congress party.
Well, this is not a statement from either a TDP leader or a Jana Sena Party leader, but from the maverick YSRCP rebel parliament member Kanumuru Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, who has been overtly working for the TDP and slinging mud on his own party.
Raju told reporters in New Delhi that these coverts, who are working secretly for the YSRCP, are trying to spoil the minds of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, saying that the alliance between the two parties would not work out.
“They do not like Naidu and Pawan joining hands, as it would result in the defeat of the YSRCP. So, they are floating all sorts of theories that any alliance between the TDP and Jana Sena Party would create troubles in their respective parties,” he said.
At the same time, some other forces in the Bharatiya Janata Party are also trying create a wedge between the TDP and Jana Sena, saying Pawan Kalyan would go only with the saffron party and not with the TDP.
“However, Pawan has never spelt out his stand. He did not say he would sail only with the BJP. He has not changed his mind so far on the opposition unity to prevent split of the anti-YSRCP votes,” Raju said, adding that it is certain that the TDP, BJP and Jana Sena would join hands and fight the elections together.
