World Economic Forum president Berge Brende on Tuesday was all praise for YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for his active participation in the WEF meeting held at Davos from May 22 to 26.
In a letter to the chief minister, Brende expressed his sincere gratitude for Jagan’s active participation in the WEF annual meeting 2022.
“Thank you for representing Andhra Pradesh with a strong voice in the meeting,” he said.
Acknowledging Jagan’s participation in the Davos summit for the first time, the WEF chief hoped that his first experience in Davos had been fruitful. He said participants at the meeting had greatly valued the chief minister’s contributions.
“The Forum looks forward to your continued cooperation as Andhra Pradesh integrates with the Global Network of Advanced Manufacturing Hubs and the Forum’s Moving India initiative to accelerate the transition to green mobility. On behalf of the entire Forum community, thank you again for your crucial support and engagement,” Brende said.
He said the meeting convened against one of the most challenging geopolitical and geo-economic backdrops in decades.
“At this critical time for the world, your contributions to the strategic dialogues in Davos were vital in rallying the international community to step up collective actions on issues such as climate change, peace and safeguarding the economic recovery,” the WEF president said.
