Y S Vijayamma, the mother of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Sharmila, has remained tight-lipped so far on the controversy within her family between the siblings.
Sharmila held a press conference today, tearfully stating that her brother betrayed her, despite her campaigning for him during the 2019 elections.
On the other hand, supporters of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are criticizing Sharmila, questioning her right to claim her brother's property, especially after he reportedly gave her Rs 200 crore out of affection.
Sharmila, however, continues to present herself as the victim, though it’s unclear what she hopes to gain from this approach and what she considers justice.
Ultimately, it is Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy who would need to give her anything from his own property, and if Sharmila intends to secure his goodwill, some see her public statements as counterproductive.
Sources indicate there is pressure on Y S Vijayamma to speak out in support of Sharmila. In light of this, will Y S Vijayamma step forward and make a public statement, or will she choose to remain silent to avoid taking sides? Only time will tell.
