Will Naidu die of mosquito bites?

Will Naidu die of mosquito bites?

The arrest of Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the multi-crore alleged skill development corporation scam is no doubt a big setback for the party and his family.

The party leaders are making a hue and cry over the arrest as if it is a national calamity, accusing the Jagan Mohan Reddy government of indulging in a witch-hunt of the TDP president as part of political vendetta.

Naidu’s lawyers made a desperate attempt to avoid his imprisonment in Rajahmundry central jail and get him home imprisonment, on the ground that he has a serious theat to his life and there no proper security in the jail, but the ACB court did not agree for the same.

Now, the TDP leaders have started wild allegations stating that the Jagan government is conspiring him to eliminate him within the jail itself in one way or the other.

On Thursday, Naidu’s son and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh has made a strange allegation. He posted a message on social media stating that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government had got Naidu arrested illegally only to eliminate him within the jail premises.

How? According to Lokesh, the conspiracy of Jagan is to get Naidu bitten by mosquitoes within the jail barracks, so that he would suffer from dengue fever and die subsequently.

“There is no protection to Chandrababu Naidu from mosquitoes. The jail authorities are not bothered despite complaints that there is a mosquito menace in the jail. This cannot be done for a person who has Z plus security cover,” Lokesh said.

He quoted an incident of a remand prisoner of Rajahmundry jail Ganjeti Veera Venkata Satyanarayana of Dowleshwaram, who died of dengue fever on Wednesday at government hospital at Kakinada.

The report said the prisoner, who had been in Rajahmundry on judicial remand since September 6 in connection with a theft case suffered from severe fever and blood vomiting. He was admitted to hospital on September 19 and he died on Wednesday morning.

“Jagan is conspiring that even Naidu should die of mosquito bites and dengue fever. If anything happens to the TDP chief, Jagan will be held responsible,” Lokesh said, adding that that is why the government was trying its best to deny bail to Naidu.
