Is the Y S Jagan government planning to invite PM Narendra Modi to lay foundation stone for the new executive capital of Andhra Pradesh at Visakhapatnam?
In his own style, minister for municipal administration and urban development Botsa Satyanarayana said the other day that the state government would invite the Prime Minister for laying foundation for the executive capital at Visakhapatnam.
One does not know whether Botsa had made the statement in his personal capacity or Jagan himself has the plan to invite Modi in his mind, but it will be interesting to see if the Prime Minister agrees for the same.
If what Botsa said is true, it is a clear indication that the three capitals idea definitely has the blessings of the NDA government and also that of the Bharatiya Janata Party and that the Governor had approved the bills only after receiving the consent of the Centre.
If Modi really comes for the inauguration of the executive capital at Visakhapatnam, it is going to be a big moral victory for Jagan Mohan Reddy and a clear setback for Telugu Desam Party headed by N Chandrababu Naidu, as the latter has failed to build a capital city at Amaravati on time, despite Modi laying foundation stone for the same!
