Controversial actress Sri Reddy, who claims herself to be a hardcore fan of YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, appears to be not very happy with the way Jagan is giving preference to popular anchor Are Shyamala in the party.
Shyamala is one of the three state-level official spokespersons of the YSRCP, the other two being R K Roja and Rachamallu Shivaprasada Reddy.
For the last few days, Shyamala has become very active in the party, attacking the ruling Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena Party.
But Sri Reddy is not happy with her.
In a post on social media, she asked the party to consider making former MLA Varudu Kalyani as the party spokesperson.
“We all know Varudu Kalyani ma’am. She is the lady who can give excellent slipper shots to opposition parties with her speeches,” she said.
Sri Reddy said Kalyani has all the eligibility to be a YSRCP official spokesperson.
“Her character, her behaviour, seniority, her charming face, her activeness, her experience in politics - all together works a lot (sic)..we all YSRCP followers expecting this madam to get that post. How many of u agree this??” she posted.
The maverick actress, who is known for making vulgar comments against the opposition leaders including Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, reportedly questioned the propriety of appointing Shyamala as the official spokesperson, ignoring sincere party workers like her who worked hard for the party.
“She is a lucky woman. She bagged key post, despite not doing any work for the party. While we get the bashing and threats from the TDP, she gets postings and chance to address press meets. Giving importance to Shyamala is nothing but keeping “Saturn” (Shani) on the party’s head,” Sri Reddy commented.
