Why Rammohan Naidu took TDP-hater along with him?

Why Rammohan Naidu took TDP-hater along with him?

The presence of popular singer Mangli alongside Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu during a special darshan at the Arasavalli temple on the occasion of Ratha Saptami on February 4 has sparked dissatisfaction among the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadre.

They point out that Mangli was a staunch supporter of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and had actively campaigned for the party by singing songs and urging people to vote for the fan symbol, promising a better future.

TDP activists also recall that during the previous government, former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had appointed Mangli as an advisor to the TTD-run SVBC channel due to her unwavering support for the party.

They further claim that when TDP leaders approached her to sing promotional songs for their campaign, she outright refused, stating that she did not even want to utter the name of N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Yet, Mangli was allowed to accompany Rammohan Naidu for a darshan along with his family at the Sun Temple in Arasavalli, Srikakulam district, during the Ratha Saptami celebrations, where she and her team also performed a musical program.

This has drawn criticism from TDP supporters, who question how Rammohan Naidu could grant special darshan to someone who had previously refused to support their party. Social media is flooded with posts criticizing this move.

Additionally, they point out that Rammohan Naidu has appointed Lathkar Srikesh Balaji Rao, the former Srikakulam District Collector, as his personal secretary, despite allegations that the IAS officer harassed and humiliated TDP leaders and cadre during the previous YSRCP government.
