Former minister Daggubati Venkateswara Rao’s book, Prapancha Charitra, was released at GITAM University, with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and former Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu as chief guests.
Naidu praised the book as a significant contribution to Telugu literature, covering world history, governance, and technological advancements.
He commended Rao’s transition from medicine to politics, highlighting his service as an MLA, minister, and MP, and acknowledged Sitharaman’s leadership in India’s economic rise.
Sitharaman lauded Rao for condensing vast historical narratives and encouraged him to document recent global events.
Venkaiah Naidu emphasized the book’s importance in making history accessible to Telugu readers.
While TDP and BJP leaders attended the event, Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan or any representative from his party was noticeably absent.
This has fueled speculation that Pawan Kalyan might have skipped the event due to disappointment over the Nagababu MLC issue. Others believe that he may not have even been invited by TDP leaders.
However, many feel that even if Pawan Kalyan is upset, neither he nor any Jana Sena leader can openly express their disappointment, fearing backlash from TDP-allied media.
