Kurnool: The family of mega star Chiranjeevi is split on extending support to Jana Sena candidates. Pawan Kalyan who was campaigning for Jana Sena candidates across the state failed to enlist the support of his family own members.
Film star Allu Arjun, son of film producer Allu Aravind, extended support to YSRC Nandyal candidate Silpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy. This led to confusion among Jana Sena cadre here.
In a message, Allu Arjun said, "I would like to congratulate my dearest friend Silpa Ravi Reddy for starting his political innings by contesting for MLA from Nandyal constituency. I am very proud of him for always wanting to be in public service. He has been a thorough gentleman and true friend for years. I sincerely believe his leadership will benefit the society. We have different political affiliations and our political ideologies may vary but i whole-heartedly wish my friend all the very best for his new journey and future endeavours."
This has caused consternation among Jana Sena candidates across the State.
Nandyal constituency has a strong candidate, Sajjala Sridhar Reddy who wascontesting against Silpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy. Nandyal Lok Sabha seat is being contested by S.P.Y. Reddy, a sitting MP and known industrialist.
When contacted, Jana Sena Candidate Sajjala Sridhar Reddy said, "I don't have any objection whom Allu Arjun supports. Neither is he a voter nor has any influence in Nandyal."
He said the wife of Allu Arjun and wife of Silpa Ravi are party goers and had developed social contacts in glitzy glamourous world.
