Why drag TDP into Jagan-Sharmila dispute?

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday found fault with YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for unnecessarily dragging his name into the family dispute with Y S Sharmila.

He was reacting to the comments of Jagan that the chief minister was trying to divert the attention of the people from crucial issues like atrocities on women and diarrhoeal deaths in Vizianagaram by encouraging the TDP leaders to make statements on the property disputes with his sister Sharmila.

“Why are we being dragged into these matters? We are no way concerned with the disputes between Jagan and his sister and mother. It is Jagan who wants that the properties acquired by his father should not be transferred to his mother. In what way we are concerned about it? Naidu asked.

He, however, wondered whether anyone would impose any kind of conditions on the properties that are to be transferred to mother and sister.

Expressing surprise at how Jagan had amassed so much of wealth now, Naidu asked what the worth of his properties in 2004 was.

“From where did he get lakhs of crores,” Chandrababu asked.

The chief minister said there was no diversion of any issue, as the entire state is now discussing the developmental activities being undertaken by this government.

"At the same time the people are also focussing on the damage and destruction caused during the previous regime, particularly the umpteen GOs that are kept as secret" he said.
