Why Congress Was Absent in Jagan's Dharna?

Jagan Mohan Reddy held a dharna in Delhi protesting against attacks on his party members in Andhra Pradesh by the ruling party's people.

Some INDIA Bloc members extended solidarity to him, with Akhilesh Yadav being the most prominent figure showing support and making statements. However, there were no Congress leaders present alongside Jagan Mohan Reddy.

It is known that Jagan Mohan Reddy has harbored antipathy towards the Congress since the beginning of his independent political career.

He has never made peace with them, even after his recent electoral defeat. Thus, it's understandable that the Congress might not have extended support to Jagan Mohan Reddy, especially if it was not sought or welcomed.

Interestingly, many INDIA Bloc leaders are supporting Jagan Mohan Reddy, suggesting that there are efforts to work out a potential alliance between Congress and the YSRCP if Jagan is open to it.

However, it remains to be seen how much Jagan Mohan Reddy feels the need for Congress's support at this juncture.

Political analysts suggest that it would be wise for Jagan to align with the INDIA Bloc by reconciling with Congress, given the INDIA Bloc's potential to come to power in 2029, considering the current situation of the NDA government and the future strength the INDIA Bloc might gather.

We have to wait and see what Jagan's next move will be.
