Who will be left with YSRCP in RS?

Even as the YSR Congress party leadership has remained tight-lipped over the reports that two of its Rajya Sabha members – Mopidevi Venkata Ramana and Beeda Mastan Rao are going to put in their papers in a day or two, speculations are rife as to how many others will follow them in the coming days.

According to sources in the party, at least another three to four Rajya Sabha MPs are going to resign from the party as well as Rajya Sabha membership in the next few days and only five to six MPs will remain with the YSRCP.

Apart from Mopidevi and Mastan Rao, the names of Golla Babu Rao, Meda Raghunath Reddy and R Krishnaiah are also going to leave the party sooner or later, if the speculations doing rounds in the party are to be believed.

So, the party will be left with V Vijay Sai Reddy, Y V Subba Reddy, Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Parimal Natwani, S Niranjan Reddy and Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose in the Rajya Sabha.

Even among these six MPs, there is a talk that, another two may jump the fence at an appropriate time, sources said.

The party has not come out with any statement on these resignations. However, Vijay Sai Reddy has clarified through X that he will not be resigning from the party to join another party.

“I wish to make it clear that I am a loyal, dedicated and committed worker of the YSRCP. I will remain with YSRCP and work under the leadership of Sri @ysjagan Garu. I condemn the baseless speculation and misinformation being spread by a section of the media about me quitting YSRCP and joining another political party,” Sai Reddy clarified.

However, there is no such statement from other MPs for now.

It remains to be seen whether Jagan will respond to these developments or not, as he is busy making arrangements for his UK tour along with the family.
