Even as Telugu Desam Party general secretary and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh extended welcome to Jr N T Rama Rao into the party, former minister and foul-mouth MLA of YSR Congress party Kodali Venkateshwara Rao alias Nani made a mincemeat of Lokesh.
“Who the hell is Lokesh to invite Jr NTR into the TDP which was established by the latter’s grandfather and legendary actor N T Rama Rao? In fact, the father-son duo should hand over the party to Jr NTR and pack their bags and baggages,” Kodali Nani said, reacting to Lokesh’s statement.
In an interaction with students at Tirupati, Lokesh said he would wholeheartedly and with 100 percent sincerity welcome Jr NTR back into politics.
“The TDP’s doors are always welcome to those who change the destiny of the state,” he said.
The TDP general secretary also welcomed Pawan Kalyan to join hands with the TDP to bring about a welcome change in the state.
“He is man with good heart. I met him for the first time in 2014. If such persons come forward, we can easily solve the problems in the state,” he said.
Stating that the TDP would accord a red-carpet welcome to Jr NTR and Pawan Kalyan for the betterment of the state, Lokesh said they would play a bigger role in bring about a change in the society and provide good governance.
Kodali lashed out at Lokesh for making the statement on Jr NTR.
“It clearly shows Lokesh and Chandrababu Naidu have no credibility and have lost the people’s confidence. They have realised that they cannot revive the party. So, it is better they hand it over to Jr NTR, so that he could uphold the name and fame of NTR,” he said.
