Who is giving you CM post, Mr Pawan?

Jana Sena Party president and power star Pawan Kalyan has never been a serious politician and even when the elections to the Andhra Pradesh are less than six months away, he has not stepped up his political activity in the state.

He knows that he doesn’t have the strength to come to power on his own; and that is why, he has decided to join hands with the Telugu Desam Party led by former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, while continuing his “dosti” with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Pawan also knows that he doesn’t have much bargaining power to strike a deal with the TDP and might end up with seeking 25-30 assembly seats.

Even for these seats, his Jana Sena Party doesn’t have strong candidates to take on the YSR Congress party.

Yet, he often talks about his dream of becoming the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, only to appease his fans and followers.

On Friday, too, the power star said he had never said “no” to becoming the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

“I have never rejected the CM post. But I shall not crave for the same. If the people give me an opportunity to become the chief minister, I shall definitely accept the same and provide an ideal government to the state,” he said.

One wonders who is giving him the CM post in the first place. For that, his party should win a minimum of 88 assembly seats.

When the Jana Sena may not contest even 25-30 seats, one wonders how Pawan can even think of becoming the CM, let alone somebody offering him.

Inadvertently, Pawan Kalyan indicated that it cannot happen. All that he wants now is to make his presence felt in the assembly.

“We have to become stronger in 2024 elections and see that our party has its presence in the state assembly,” he said.

So, that is his objective. He wants to enter the assembly along with a few MLAs, so that his party survives. Why should he then talk about the CM post?

He made it clear that all that he wants was to see that the TDP-Jana Sena Party government will form after the next elections, for which all the party workers should strive, resolving petty issues that might crop up during the journey.
