Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy told the officials that the government was facing criticism not only from the opposition TDP, but the media too.
During a review meeting with the officials on roads and ports, the chief minister tried to draw the attention of the officials to the improvement of the roads.
He said that the TDP was making baseless criticism on the government as it is not able to digest its defeat in the 2019 elections.
“The media too, is not able to digest the defeat of Chandrababu Naidu. Media is launching negative campaign against the government,” Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
However, told the officials to keep working as the work would speak for itself.
He said that people are witnessing the development that is visible in every village and they would also see the roads, once they are improved.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said that people would give a fitting counter to the TDP and its yellow media at an appropriate time.
He asked the officials not to get demoralised when the media writes against them. He said that the intention of the media was not against the officials but in favour of the TDP and its chief.
He said that the rains have damaged roads in the last two years and wanted the officials to take up repairs from October.
He also told the officials to get reports from the grassroots on the road conditions and complete the repairs.
