A single comment made by D Purandeshwari has messed up the entire Andhra Pradesh BJP's image.
It is known that BJP has made Purandeshwari, the General Secretary of the party. It is also known to people that BJP has made Rayalaseema declaration much earlier stating that High Court should be placed in Kurnool.
The party has also reiterated that the decisions regarding the Capital City vests in the hands of the state government and the center will not involve.
After all this, Purandeshwari has made a statement contradicting the policy of BJP by supporting that the capital should be there only in Amaravathi.
Responding to this, Vijaysai Reddy has implied in his tweet that Purandeswari is not working towards the wellbeing of her party as a national leader but striving for the well being of a community as its leader.
Purandeshwari hasn't contested from her birthplace Vijayawada or her in law's place Ongole. She won from Vizag but still wants to see only Amaravati as the capital.
Already Amaravati is branded as a city meant for the prospects of only one community. Moreover, the leaders from TDP, the party branded for a community, always consider Purandeshwari as their own leader. They maintained that 'apni' relation when she was in Congress and also when she has been in BJP.
There are many incidents where she benefited the bigwigs of her community who are close to TDP when she was the Central Minister earlier.
So, with this caste element, her statement has rubbed on the wrong side of AP-BJP.
