Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared to be happy with the progress of the work at the Polavaram Project.
The chief minister conducted aerial survey and physical inspection of the project works on Monday along with the officials and Ministers.
The chief minister also held a review meeting with them on the progress, where the officials briefed him on the progress during the last two years.
The officials told him that 42 gates were fixed completely and ready for operation while six more are to be fixed in the due course.
Later, the chief minister reviewed the progress of the Rehabilitation and Resettlement work for the displaced families.
The officials told the chief minister that 90 colonies were displaced of which 48 are ready in the next two months.
The colonies have houses built, roads laid, electricity and water supply provided.
The chief minister told the officials and the representatives of the contractor to complete the works by June 2022.
He also told the officials to hand over the rehabilitation colonies to the displaced families at the earliest.
He also cautioned them on the quality of the works done in the rehabilitation colonies, including houses and roads.
