It looks like former Congress MP from Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar has turned into some sort of godfather for Jana Sena Party chief and actor Pawan Kalyan and also rebel YSR Congress party MP Kanumuru Raghurama Krishnam Raju.
Both Pawan and Raju have taken Vundavalli’s statement on the alleged poor financial status of Andhra Pradesh to buttress their criticism against YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
On Tuesday, the Jana Sena chief tweeted on the state financial position quoting the recent press conference of Vundavalli on the “disastrous financial situation of AP” and how the AP government lacked transparency in governance.
“One can understand the gravity of the situation by looking at the statements of the political stalwarts like Vundavalli,” Pawan tweeted.
In an earlier tweet on Monday, Pawan said he was pained at the analyses being made by financial experts and intellectuals stating that Andhra Pradesh is in deep financial crisis and is on the verge of bankruptcy.
“Six lakh crore loans and another half-a-crore lakh dues, besides mortgage of public assets. Why is the situation so bad?” he asked.
He announced that Jana Sena is planning to conduct a round-table conference on “financial crisis in AP and future of the people,” soon by inviting financial experts including Vundavalli Arun Kumar, retired bureaucrats like Anjayneya Reddy, EAS Sarma and IYR Krishna Rao, intellectuals like Chalasani Srinivas and Vadde Sobhanadreeshwar Rao, besides representatives of political parties.
On the other hand, Raghurama Krishnam Raju also quoted Vundavalli saying the Jagan government had messed up state finances.
“When I spoke about the same in the media, the Jagan government foisted sedition cases against me and two other media channels. Now, will it file sedition cases against Vundavalli, too?” he asked.
