Many used to see Hyderabad as a synonym for IT industry before bifurcation. After that city it is only Vizag that can be called an IT hub within the Telugu states.
Though many leaders stated earlier that they would make Vizag as the IT capital, that didn't come true.
Now YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's government has focussed on Vizag, not just as the IT capital but also the state's executive capital.
A master plan is also being made to make it the biggest IT hub. It was already announced that an IT University is coming up in this city.
Jagan Mohan Reddy is also saying that he would make Vizag as the city of opportunities for all the unemployed youth in the state.
Whatever be the IT activity happening in this city is not sufficient to compete with the biggest cities like Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
AP IT policy is designed on the basis of building the infrastructure for the industry as well as making the IT brains.
The Government is also focussing on developing Vizag as the concept city.
