Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita took a dig at TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh for attempting to break law and order in the state.
She blamed Lokesh for trying to visit the family of a girl who was killed seven months ago at Narasaraopet.
She said that the state police and the government have acted on time and protected the family, besides arresting the accused in just 10 days of the incident.
The Home Minister said that a girl called Sugali Preeti was killed in 2018 when Lokesh was Minister and his father was chief minister.
Sucharita wanted to know if Lokesh would also visit Sugali Preeti’s family and apologise to them for the TDP government’s failure to protect her and do justice to her family.
She also sought to remind the murder of Rishiteswari during the TDP government and wondered whether Lokesh would visit their family.
The Home Minister sought to advise Lokesh to stop the dramas for political gains and disturb law and order in the state.
She said that the police have been acting tough on the perpetrators of violence against women.
Though the Disha Act is yet to get President’s approval, she said that the police in the state were acting as per the guidelines of the Act and booking cases at a greater speed, protecting the victims and doing justice to the families.
Well, the question now is, will Lokesh visit the families of Preeti and Rishiteswari!?
