Amit Shah, in his address today, stated that between 2014 and 2019, the state of Andhra Pradesh witnessed its worst times, describing it as a "man-made disaster."
However, some pro-TDP websites attempted to twist his statement, claiming that Amit Shah criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy for his last five years of governance following what Purandeshwari twisted the statement in Telugu language.
“It might have been a slip of the tongue, as he wouldn’t usually make such comments while being part of an alliance government. However, what’s on someone’s mind often comes out. The BJP high command seems to have a clear impression that Andhra Pradesh was under misrule between 2014 and 2019. That’s why they keep involuntarily referencing those dates,” a YSRCP leader commented.
This statement has sparked trolling, particularly targeting the TDP.
Purandeshwari, who was interpreting Amit Shah’s speech, used her presence of mind to cover up Amit Shah's statement, but much to the amusement of detractors.
