GreatAndhra recently conducted an exclusive survey in Vinukonda Assembly Constituency with a substantial sample size of 9892 participants.
The survey revealed that 56.5% of the respondents opted for YSRCP, indicating a significant increase of 2.06% compared to the 2019 general election results.
In contrast, TDP's voteshare experienced a steep downfall to 35.3% in the survey, a shocking decrease of 6.22% from their 41.52% voteshare in the actual election of 2019. Janasena secured 7.1% of the voteshare in the sample survey.
The 2019 general election in Vinukonda saw YSRCP candidate Bolla Brahma Naidu emerge victorious with 54.44% of the voteshare out of a total turnout of 2,23,859 votes. On the other hand, TDP candidate Gonugantla Venkata Seeta Rama Anjaneyulu lost with a voteshare of 41.52%.
The significant surge in YSRCP's vote share in the sample survey and the considerable decline in TDP's support indicate that TDP is facing a severe challenge in the Vinukonda constituency. This trend may point towards a potential defeat for the TDP candidate in the upcoming 2024 elections.
When asked, majority voters expressed their contentement towards YSRCP rule saying "Brahmanaidu transformed Vinukonda ensuring ample water supply and eliminating the dependency on water tankers. A park, stadium, and community hall were constructed. The roads of Giripradarsana and a ghat road to hill are also happening at brisk pace. Brahmanaidu tackled encroachments impartially. During the pandemic, he arranged facilities, earning state-level praise".
Also saying about the former TDP MLA Anjaneyulu, the locals responded, "Anjaneyulu, an MLA for ten years, was an inept leader unable to construct even a village road. Vinukonda's drinking water problem remained unresolved in his time, with allegations of embezzlement of municipal funds for water tankers".
Recently, MLA Bolla Bramhanaidu released a book on the development activities that happened in the last 4 years in Vinukonda. The book titled “Pragathi Padhamlo Mana Vinukonda”, contains over 200 pages.
The book highlights the development activities village wise and ward wise with photos and the amount spent on each activity. The book also has details of the total number of beneficiaries under various welfare schemes and the total amount disbursed.
