Vijayawada CP Shifted To Loop-Line Post!

Vijayawada CP Shifted To Loop-Line Post!

In a surprise development, the Jagan government on Saturday shifted senior IPS officer Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao from the key post of Vijayawada police commissioner and transferred to an insignificant post in Railways.

Apparently, the Jagan government was not happy with the way Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, a 1989-batch IPS officer, had handled the rowdy elements in Vijayawada city. In the last few months, there have been reports of gang wars among the rowdy groups involved in land settlements and the CP was not able to tackle them because of his soft nature.

It is learnt Jagan wanted to bring in a young and tough IPS officer to control the law and order Vijayawada.

That is why he chose B Srinivasulu, a 1998-batch officer, as a replacement for Dwaraka Tirumala Rao as Vijayawada police commissioner. At present, Srinivasulu is additional police commissioner in Vijayawada.

Another senior IPS officer N Balasubramanyam, who had been on leave since he was posted as Additional DGP in Railways, was also given a loop-line post of Addl DGP, Organization.

Similarly, Kripanand Tripathi Ujela, also an Addnal DGP was posted as Addl DGP, Road Safety.

Several young IPS officers have managed to get key postings.

PHD Ramakrishna who has been incharge SP of Guntur urban, has been posted as Director of Special Enforcement Bureau (erstwhile Director, Prohibition & Excise).

Guntur rural SP Ch Vijaya Rao, who was reportedly behaving soft with the agitators of Amaravati farmers, has also been posted as SP, Railways. In his place, another young IPS officer Vishal Gunni, who is presently SP, Octopus, was posted as Guntur rural SP.
