K V Usha Shricharan, the YSRCP MLA, has been listed in the 50 best legislators in the country. She represents the Kalyandurg constituency of Anantapur district at the Assembly and has recently been listed in the Top 50 legislators in the nation in a survey administered by Fame India - Asia Survey Post.
The Fame India - Asia Survey Post is a survey based on metrics such as popularity, social responsibility, influence, bills proposed, and MLA fund expenses, etc. The study excludes Ministers and Chief Ministers.
Her key initiatives include, raising the water issue in Kalyandurg constituency of Anantapur district at the Assembly, instrumental in approval of BTP irrigation project worth 1,000 crores, which will bring water to 1 lakh acres, BTP irrigation project water filling all the 114 tanks of Kalyandurg, Increased agriculture and reducing migration giving them jobs at their native.
Being a female MLA from the backward community, she understands the struggles of her entire constituency and has served her people with all her might and courage, prioritizing her people over her own health and safety even during COVID-19 pandemic. During COVID-19 pandemic, she is Personally monitoring of her people, Providing essential commodities to BPL families during lockdown, Providing constant food to front runners and COVID warriors like Policemen & healthcare professionals, She provided masks for front end personnel.
Usha Shricharan is the daughter of an agricultural scientist. 4 years before she even decided to fight the elections, she commuted door to door across her constituency to identify the pressing issues of her people. She realized that migration is one of the biggest issues that is affecting the social system. The reason for migration was the lack of irrigation facilities. She realized that reversing migration by renewing tanks was her first goal to be achieved.
In the year 2019, the “Udaan” of Kalyandurg Ananthpur district became an MLA and this ‘Wave of Change’ is here to stay! The love for her people made her win by a whopping 20,000 votes majority!
