The security staff of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanms (TTD) are up in arms against the unruly behaviour by a TTD trust board member for not allowing him through the gate opposite to Maha Dwaram on Tuesday.
The TTD employees lodged a complaint with the board management alleging that the board member – Naresh Kumar – used foul language against one of the guards at the gate on the temple premises, which is a sacred place.
Naresh Kumar landed in controversy after using foul language against a temple employee Balaji. Eyewitnesses report that Naresh Kumar, after completing his VIP break darshan, approached the temple’s main entrance with his aides.
When his assistant requested the gate be opened, the employee explained that such access was restricted and suggested consulting higher authorities. This response allegedly infuriated Naresh Kumar, who lost his temper and began verbally abusing the employee in front of devotees.
The video of Naresh Kumar shouting at Balaji with harsh and foul words, asking him to get out from the place gone viral.
He late alleged that the guard had misbehaved with him. The video drew widespread criticism from devotees who are demanding action against the board member for his inappropriate behaviour.
The incident occurred at the sacred premises of the Venkateswara Swamy temple, a place meant to resonate with devotional chants. Instead, the atmosphere was marred by the member’s verbal outburst, leaving devotees shocked.
Devotees and temple staff have condemned his behaviour, stating that a board member should uphold discipline and set an example, rather than behaving in an unruly manner.
Many devotees are now demanding strict action against him for his conduct, arguing that individuals in such positions should maintain the sanctity of the temple.
