Three Key Issues Tarnishing AP Government

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan recently revealed widespread public dissatisfaction with Chandrababu Naidu's government. In fact no Deputy Chief Minister opens up like this publicly.

The critics are also pointing to three primary issues damaging the government's reputation and inciting public frustration.

Firstly, Naidu’s focus on "political governance" has weakened bureaucratic authority. In a crucial meeting with top IAS and IPS officers, he emphasized a political approach over institutional governance, diminishing the role of the bureaucracy and allowing party-affiliated leaders and activists to exert undue influence. This has created a perception of arbitrary rule, undermining administrative independence.

Secondly, the "Red Book" policies, introduced by Lokesh, have intensified public resentment. Rather than addressing governance improvements, Lokesh’s initiatives have reportedly led to increasing cases of harassment, particularly against opposition leaders.

Lastly, Pawan Kalyan’s own behavior has further tainted the government’s image. His combative rhetoric and statements like 'tokka teesta' and all are not going well with the people.

On a whole, his opening up of bad situation within their own rule, undermines confidence in the government’s commitment to law and order, fueling public discontent and straining the coalition’s stability.
