Three Capitals: Lok Ayuktha To Be Shifted To Kurnool

The three capitals plan of the Jagan Mohan Reddy government had started taking shape slowly.

The AP cabinet, which met on Friday, decided to shift the AP Lok Ayuktha from Hyderabad to Kurnool.

The cabinet also decided to relocate the AP State Human Rights Commission to Kurnool, which was notified as the judicial capital of the state.

Once these two institutions are moved to the judicial capital, the government plans to shift all legal and judicial bodies of the state to Kurnool.

Though the State was bifurcated in 2014 and several departments were shifted, there are several other departments which are still headquartered in Hyderabad.

The state government had recently shifted the computer network centre of the Stamps and Registrations Department to Mangalagiri.

While there are plans to move other departments and offices from Hyderabad, the government is planning to shift them according to the three capitals plan.

Accordingly, the Lok Ayuktha and the Human Rights Commission are to be moved to Kurnool to consolidate the plan.
