Temple Attacks: 'This is A Guerrilla Warfare'

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has addressed the people and the police system today.

He termed the Temple Attacks as the Guerrilla warfare, an engagement in or the activities involved in a war fought by small groups of irregular soldiers against typically larger regular forces.

"These are Guerrilla attacks. This is political Guerrilla warfare. This is very new.

Damaging a temple property at the wee hours of a day at a remotest place, making a video of it and posting on social media has become a trend now. The pro TDP channels like ABN, Eenadu and TV5 are politicising this.

The opposition party is backstabbing like this for not being able to face us directly.

They have chosen this religious way to keep the government in bad light intentionally. That's the unfortunate plight of the state now. Since these incidents are happening with malafide intention we are making our efforts to curb such incidents.

We have placed 36000 CC cameras in various temples right now. How many more can we place? And where can we place?

Having said this we need to be vigilant and face the political guerrilla warfare. The society needs to encourage secular thought process but not ignite the flames among people.

We will be strict and take necessary action on all culprits. We get into the depth and details of every incident, take a deep dive into investigation and display the culprits openly".
