TDP trains dog to tear Jagan stickers!

The misuse of social media by political parties to abuse, deride and attack their political rivals has become the order of the day in the Telugu states. The parties have been stooping down to ridiculously low levels to run down their opponents.

The complaint given by some people, supposedly owing allegiance to the Telugu Desam Party against a dog tearing down the sticker of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy kis a classic example of how social media could be misused for petty political gains.

A video of a dog tearing down the poster of Jagan has gone viral on the social media. What is more ridiculous is a group of women lodging a complaint with the Vijayawada police against the dog for tearing the sticker.

The YSRCP social media wing lost no time in identifying the woman – Dasari Udayasri, as a supporter of the TDP. She claimed in the complaint that it is an insult to the Chief Minister that his poster was removed by a dog.

She, along with a few other women, demanded that action must be taken by the police against the dog, the people who instigated the dog, and those who circulated the now-viral clip.

The YSRCP leadership apparently gave strict instructions to the party leaders not to react to such a frivolus complaint, as it would only reflect the petty minds of the TDP leaders. Apparently, the dog was trained by the TDP workers to insult the chief minister.

As the video went viral, Twitter users have been shocked at the bizarre nature of the so-called complaint, the chief minister, however, reportedly expressed anguish over the way the TDP was resorting to such cheap gimmicks to run down the ruling party.

Vijayawada police commissioner Kanti Rana Tata, however, said no FIR has been registered and that the complaint was “sarcastic”. He said the TDP members submitted a written complaint in regards to the video that's going viral.

“The said video is just to defame the CM and holds no basis for the complaint. No FIR has been filed in this regard,” he said.
