The ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting at Davos, Switzerland, has witnessed the presence of Who’s Who of the world’s best industrialists, heads of various governments and top bureaucrats.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is attending the WEF summit for the first time to showcase his state as a potential investment destination, while Telangana industries and IT minister K T Rama Rao, who is attending the summit for the third time, has already tied up with global industrial giants.
The meeting Jagan and KTR at Davos also raised a lot of curiosity. Though they posed together for photographs and tweeted about their exchange of pleasantries, it is not immediately known whether they had any one-on-one meeting to discuss the issues of the respective Telugu states.
However, what surprised everybody was the presence of Telugu Desam Party’s Lok Sabha member Galla Jayadev at the WEF meeting at Davos on Tuesday.
Normally, only heads of the governments and not the leaders of opposition parties will attend the meeting because it involves policy decisions.
So, Jayadev’s presence raised curiosity. However, he is learnt to have attended the Davos summit in his individual capacity rather than as a representative of the TDP, as he is a top industrialist heading Amara Raja Group of Companies.

The summit will continue till May 26. Hope the Telugu states would return with a big basket of investments from the world!
