Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had at last something to rejoice, when he attended the valedictory function of the 20 years of foundation of Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad as chief guest on Friday.
Naidu has been sulking for not being made part of the ISB celebrations, though he takes the credit for bringing the institute to Hyderabad facing tough competition from other states.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Hyderabad to take part in the inaugural function of two-decade celebrations of ISB in May, Naidu felt bad for the authorities not mentioning even his name while recalling the history of the institute.
The TDP chief made an open statement saying he was very much pained, as the ISB authorities had not acknowledged his contribution during the celebrations, despite knowing that the prestigious institution was a result of his relentless work.
"The Prime Minister addressed ISB 20th annual day celebrations. But he did not mention my name. It doesn't matter. I did that for my Telugu people and it gives me satisfaction," remarked Naidu, adding that he had never worked to gain popularity or mileage as state’s development is only his agenda.
The ISB authorities took Naidu’s comments in a positive way and finally invited him to the valedictory function, where he had an interaction with founder dean of the ISB Dr Pramanth Raj Sinha.
The first passed out batch of the ISB who are now either employed in India or abroad while some turned into entrepreneurs, too were present at the meeting.
The TDP gave it a huge hype for Naidu’s event, as for the last two days, the party spokespersons and media managers have been sending briefs to the media about Naidu’s visit to ISB. Special invitations have been sent to media persons asking them to give a huge coverage to his visit.
Needless to say, the digital platforms of the yellow media have already given a big coverage to Naidu’s event at ISB. There is no surprise if it becomes a front page news for this section of media tomorrow!
