TDP cadre want Naidu to be ruthless!

The way the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is raising alarms over attacks and atrocities on its workers by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadre at the grassroots level has put TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on the defensive.

However, TDP leaders and cadres are adopting an aggressive stance, eager to take revenge on YSRCP leaders and workers who allegedly caused them trouble during Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s regime.

Naidu is concerned that such retaliatory attacks could lead to a breakdown of law and order in the state and tarnish its reputation, undermining his efforts to restore the state's glory.

This cautious approach is being seen as inefficiency by TDP workers and sympathizers. They are taking to social media to urge the chief minister to adopt a more ruthless approach towards YSRCP leaders.

"Your soft attitude towards them is not advisable. You should deal with them sternly, so that the YSRCP will not recover again," argue TDP workers.

For instance, a social media post by a TDP sympathizer suggested that Naidu should be wary of certain officers who are still helping Jagan Mohan Reddy.

"Perhaps, you are not aware of such officers who are calling the shots in the government. Because of them, Jagan is still able to exert influence, even if he is not in power," the TDP worker said.

He suggested that either Jagan or his senior colleague Vijay Sai Reddy should be imprisoned to instill fear among YSRCP leaders and cadres.

"Jagan has committed a thousand mistakes during his rule. You can file 1,000 cases against him," he pointed out.

Stating that Naidu lacks the intelligence to assess the cruel plans of Jagan, the TDP worker said if the party wants to regain power in 2029, Naidu must learn to be strict and ruthless towards the YSRCP.

"We need quick action for quick results. If you are not strong and stubborn, the 2019 situation will repeat, and all the sacrifices and efforts of the TDP workers will go to waste once again," the party activist said.
